New Name for National Mutual Holdings

With effect from today, March 14, 2000, National Mutual Holdings Limited changes its name to AXA Asia Pacific Holdings Limited.

The change of name was approved by shareholders at the company’s Annual General Meeting last month.

AXA Asia Pacific Holdings Limited is listed on the Australian and New Zealand Stock Exchanges. The new Stock Exchange code will be AXA which will come in to effect in Australia from the opening of trading on March 17 and in New Zealand later in March.

The adoption of the AXA Asia Pacific name recognises the commitment of the leading international insurance and funds management Group AXA to the Asia Pacific market.

The AXA Group is the largest insurer in the world in terms of insurance premiums in-force. It has A$1,000 billion assets under management and operates in more than 60 countries.
