APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF ACTUARY, AXA AUSTRALIA

It is with great pleasure that I announce that Kent Griffin has accepted the role of Chief Actuary AXA Australia, following the recent retirement of Graham Slater from that position.

Kent will be relocating to Melbourne from Sydney, where he has held the position of Director, Group Capital Management with AMP Limited. Prior to this role, Kent had been a Consultant with Tillinghast for 4 years where, in addition to the provision of actuarial and management consulting services to a financial services client base, he had specific accountability for the further development of Tillinghast’s banking practice in Australia.

I regard Kent’s appointment as being particularly significant as we continue to focus on improving business performance through the K5 (business transformation) programme and other initiatives.

Kent joins the group with a premier consulting background, strong commercial acumen and with a track record of innovation and change process management experience.

Kent is a highly regarded member of the actuarial community, having presented and published several papers to the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.

We look forward to Kent joining the group on 11 September.
