AXA Asia Pacific Holdings has announced the appointment of Malcolm Gillespie to the role of Group Legal Counsel and Company Secretary.

AXA Asia Pacific Chief Finance Officer Matthew Slatter said he was delighted that an individual of the calibre of Malcolm Gillespie will be joining AXA.

“Malcolm has a very strong record with his previous organisation in legal and risk management and in providing leadership in a number of significant corporate transactions. He brings both legal expertise and excellence in commercial aspects of the role,” said Mr Slatter.

“He will be a strong contributor to our senior management team and will play an important role in our aspiration to become one of the top 20 performing companies in Australia and New Zealand. Malcolm will also bring a very firm commitment to excellence in corporate governance, which is of course an essential aspect of his role as company secretary.”
